TEHRAN An invention by an Iranian scientist was recognized as the greatest medical invention of the year 2000 by scientific associations throughout the world. Professor Tofiq Mousivand, who is to deliver a speech at the 2nd congress of cardiology updates, has invented an artificial heart with remote charger which can be placed in human body. The artificial heart provides the opportunity to control the patient's health in the best way.
With a remote control devise, the artificial heart controls the charge of the heart battery. The different tests on the artificial heart have been successful and it will be used in year 2000. The invention will rescue life of more than four million people around the world. Mousivand has been awarded different medical prizes such as the Medical Award of Canada in 1998.
